I have called Disney+ Star Wars shows boring in the past, but this series is by far the most uninteresting, flawed and pointless piece of work which I have seen the Star Wars franchise produce.

This is yet another show from Disney plus, which I could not bring myself to finish watching. I tried, multiple times, but I could not get past the first few episodes.

From the outset, it didn’t seem as though we were following a story that was terribly unique or original. None of the characters we were introduced to were interesting or compelling in any way. Nothing about any aspect of the show engaged the interest of the audience watching.

Now, to be fair, I am not someone who is a die-hard fan of Star Wars, nor have I ever considered myself one. I understand the place that the original trilogy has in film history, I enjoyed watching some of the movies and shows which have come out of this Star Wars franchise, but it has never been something I have really “gotten into” as it were.

However, I don’t think that negates or invalidates what I am saying here, because if we look at the audience ratings of “The Acolyte” in comparison to every other Star Wars show, they demonstrate this quite clearly: this is the lowest rated one by quite a bit.

There was also one plot hole which really bugged me. It was somewhat trivial, while also not being so…it was hard to tell if anything was important.
