The Truman Show | Film Friday
This is a fascinating film, which explores the relationship between a false and a true reality, and the intrinsic human search for the truth. As one character in this film explains: “we accept the reality of the world with which we are presented.” But perhaps it is not quite so simple.
The film follows a middle-aged insurance agent, by the name of “Truman Burbank,” who lives in a small, seaside town called “Seahaven.” He goes about his daily life, following a simple and ordinary routine. Suddenly, however, he begins to notice strange things happening around him.
