God, Memories & Non-Existent Time

The Perligo Podcast | Episode 001

In this episode, I delve into the metaphysics of time, and in particular try to answer this central question: Can God have knowledge of the past and future, if the past and future do not exist?

An Update on Nolan’s The Odyssey

So, as we know, Christopher Nolan’s next project is a film entitled “The Odyssey” and will unsurprisingly focus on that work by Homer. The film is currently scheduled for release on July 17, 2026.

Recently, a new poster for this film was revealed. And who knows, we may be getting the first teaser for this project sometime this month!

As with Oppenheimer, The Odyssey will be distributed by Universal Pictures, which appears to confirm that Nolan will not be returning to Warner Bros. After the falling out over the release of Tenet, and the major commercial success of Oppenheimer, Warner Bros reportedly sent Nolan a large sum, vainly hoping that would bring him back.

Nolan has already stated that he has been working with IMAX to develop new technologies for use on The Odyssey and, while it is not yet certain what exactly that means, we can be sure that it will be quite fascinating once it is revealed. It also seems like the entirety of the film will be shot on IMAX, as opposed to just select portions as we’ve seen in the past.

Additionally, several prominent actors have been already cast for the project, including several veterans of Nolan’s work such as Matt Damon (who played Dr. Mann in Interstellar and Leslie Groves in Oppenheimer), Anne Hathaway (Selina Kyle in The Dark Knight Rises and Amelia Brand in Interstellar) and Robert Pattinson (Neil in Tenet).

Coming Next…

Looking ahead to July, I will be continuing with weekly film reviews and some new video essays, diving deeper into the themes and concepts of certain films.

From This Month

Alex Garland's "Civil War"

Civil War Could Have Been So Much Better

I thought the story of this film was very good and well written. It was gripping. It was at times very intense. But the setting of this film was bad.

Out of the Furnace is a Bleak Depiction of Brotherly Love

It’s not often that selecting an unknown movie to watch, almost at random, yields good results. But, from time to time something actually interesting does rear it’s head and this film is one such instance.

Sofia Boutella stars in Zack Snyder's "Rebel Moon"

Zack Snyder Should Not Have Made Rebel Moon

I failed to see what the point was in creating this two-part film, because nothing about it felt even vaguely original. Everything made it feel like it belonged in the Star Wars universe.
