The Latest from The Perligo Podcast
In this final part of my series on Plato and Divine Simplicity, I conclude this series by laying out all
four accounts of Form in comparison.
Here at Perligo we would like to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
2024 was quite a year for us. We launched our YouTube channel in earnest at the start of February and published more than 70 videos over the course of the year.
At that time our YouTube channel had only 22 subscribers. Now we are nearing 2,000. While this is still quite a small number in the grand scheme of things, it is still excellent growth and far exceeds the goals which we set out to achieve at the start of the year.
We have even more planned for 2025, including further expansion of the website and newsletter, as well as a relaunch of The Perligo Podcast.
Whether you have been here since February or only recently discovered us, we thank you for all your support and interest and look forward to sharing our projects with you in the new year.

Coming Next…
Looking ahead to January and the new year, I will be working on the next series for the Perligo Podcast, and will be taking a look at the antagonists of the BBC show “Sherlock.”
From This Month

I went into the theater to watch this film hoping that it could do two things: prove itself to be a worthy sequel to a classic film made 20 some years ago, and be a good film in and of itself.

A24’s New Film “Warfare” Looks Incredible
A new trailer from the studio A24 just released for a film simply entitled “Warfare.” While this may not be for everyone, it does look like a potentially intense and potentially realistic film that I am looking forward to watching.

This Was Frustratingly Terrible
This new installment in what is potentially the most popular and iconic fantasy movie franchise proved yet again that sequels and franchise films are not the way to go.

Is This The Greatest Villain Movie Ever?
This psychological thriller from the late 2010’s may be the best version of a villain focused film I have ever seen.
2024 in Review

There were a good number of films released in 2024 and in this list I go over the top ten picks from the year.

“Tenet” Explained: Ancient Myth and the Paradox of Time Travel
The complexity of the story, which so many resent, gives the viewer so much to explore and unpack, and approaching it from a philosophical perspective, it is incredibly fascinating.

I will no longer pretend to have any hope for future adaptions of Tolkien’s work – and frankly, I wish they would leave his work alone and stop trying to create a “Middle Earth Cinematic Universe” franchise.

Time Travel Will Never Be Possible
In this second part, we look at what solutions there are to that problem of God’s timelessness, as well as delving into a demonstration of why time travel will never be possible.

This Independent Sci-Fi Movie is Incredibly Underrated
If you are looking for a vividly realistic and gripping science fiction movie, then look no further. Despite a low budget and minimal dialogue, this film delivers one of the most eerie and subtly intense narratives I’ve seen in a while.
